Apa Itu JWT Authentication dan Bagaimana Ia Berfungsi?

 Dalam pembangunan aplikasi web moden, keselamatan akaun pengguna menjadi salah satu aspek paling penting. Apabila semakin banyak perkhidmatan digital bergantung kepada sistem dalam talian, kaedah pengesahan identiti yang selamat diperlukan untuk memastikan hanya pengguna yang sah dapat mengakses sesuatu akaun.

Salah satu teknologi yang banyak digunakan dalam sistem pengesahan moden ialah JWT (JSON Web Token). JWT ialah format token ringkas yang digunakan untuk menghantar maklumat antara pihak pengguna dan pelayan secara selamat.

JWT biasanya terdiri daripada tiga bahagian utama iaitu Header, Payload dan Signature. Header menyimpan maklumat mengenai jenis token dan algoritma yang digunakan. Payload mengandungi data berkaitan pengguna atau maklumat tambahan yang diperlukan oleh sistem. Signature pula digunakan untuk mengesahkan bahawa token tersebut tidak diubah oleh pihak yang tidak dibenarkan.

Apabila pengguna berjaya melakukan log masuk, pelayan akan menghasilkan JWT dan menghantarnya kembali kepada pengguna. Token tersebut kemudiannya boleh digunakan untuk membuat permintaan seterusnya tanpa perlu menghantar maklumat log masuk berulang kali.

Salah satu kelebihan JWT ialah sifatnya yang bersifat stateless. Ini bermaksud pelayan tidak perlu menyimpan sesi pengguna secara tradisional kerana semua maklumat pengesahan terkandung dalam token. Pendekatan ini sering digunakan dalam aplikasi berskala besar kerana ia memudahkan pengurusan sistem.

Walau bagaimanapun, penggunaan JWT masih memerlukan amalan keselamatan yang baik. Token perlu dihantar melalui sambungan HTTPS, mempunyai tempoh tamat yang sesuai dan disimpan dengan kaedah yang selamat bagi mengurangkan risiko penyalahgunaan.

Selain itu, pembangun perlu mengurus proses seperti token refresh, pembatalan akses dan pengesahan semula dengan teliti. Sistem pengesahan yang baik bukan hanya bergantung kepada satu teknologi, tetapi gabungan beberapa lapisan keselamatan.
